Tata Curvv Coupe Concept – To be named Azura

Tata Curvv Coupe, Tata Curvv Concept

Tata Motors has recently secured a new trademark for their upcoming SUV Coupe, which is rumored to be named the Tata Azura. This development has sparked speculation that Azura might be the production name for the Tata Curvv Concept.

To provide some context, the Tata Curvv concept was unveiled in 2022 as an Electric Vehicle. In January 2023, Tata Motors showcased the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) version of the Curvv concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. Following the introduction of the Nexon Facelift, which shares the same Design language, Tata’s next product launch is expected to be the production version of the Curvv concept, likely to be called the Tata Azura.

This move represents Tata Motor’s initiative to establish another niche segment, Mid Size Coupe segment, similarly it did with Compact Sedan segment with the launch of Tata Indigo CS.

Tata Curvv – Azura: Exterior Design

The Tata Azura is anticipated to share its platform with the Nexon and retain a similar Design DNA, especially in the Front end. However, Tata Azura will be an SUV Coupe but Tata may make some modifications to the Bumper and Nose Design to differentiate between the two models. Notably, the side profile of the Azura, beyond the B-pillar, will feature a distinct SUV Coupe design with a sloping Roofline.

The Tata Azura is expected to closely resemble the Tata Curvv concept, albeit with more practical and production oriented elements. These changes might include toned down Exteriors, Alloy Wheel Designs, more conventional Lighting Elements and a futuristic Interior, similar to what we have seen recently in the Tata Nexon EV Facelift.
