Tata Nexon Facelift Petrol vs its Rivals: Dimensions

All five Compact SUVs in this comparison have a similar length of 3995mm, making them compact and easy to maneuver in City Traffic. However, there are some differences in Width, Height and Wheelbase that are worth noting.

The Mahindra XUV300 boasts the Widest presence at 1821mm, which may translate to more Cabin Space and a potentially better stance on the road. The Tata Nexon Facelift at 1804mm is at the second spot, while Maruti Brezza along with Kia Sonet, both having 1790mm of Width hold the third spot here. The Hyundai Venue’s 1770mm Width will be an advantage in the congested City Traffic.

The Height of the vehicle translates to the available Headroom and the Driving Position of the vehicle. The Maruti Brezza stands out as the tallest among the group at 1685mm of Height, potentially providing a commanding Driving position and more Headroom. Kia Sonet being the second tallest at 1642mm, Mahindra XUV 300 holding the third spot with a Height of 1627mm and the Tata Nexon with 1620mm of Height is at the fourth spot in this comparison. However, the Hyundai Venue at 1617mm, has the lowest Height, which could be a disadvantage for taller passengers.

The Wheel Base of a vehicle translates to the Stability of the vehicle and the available legroom in the vehicle, the longer the Wheelbase, the better the Stability and better the Legroom inside. Here in this comparison, the Mahindra XUV300 leads with Wheelbase measuring at 2600mm, which may be compared to the SUVs in the segment above. The Tata Nexon Facelift, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sonet, all have almost the same amount of Foot Print and the Legroom inside.

Ground Clearance is a crucial factor, especially for Indian roads, where potholes and Speed Breakers are common obstacles. Higher the Ground Clearance, better the ability of the Vehicle to deal with our Indian Roads. The Tata Nexon having highest Ground Clearance of 208mm, makes it well-suited for Rough Terrains and providing a sense of confidence when driving over uneven Surfaces. The Kia Sonet at 205mm will also prove to be a capable handler of Indian roads. The Maruti Brezza and the Hyundai Venue, though, also have decent amount of Ground Clearance. On the other hand, the Mahindra XUV300, with the lowest Ground Clearance of 180mm, may require more caution on Bumpy Roads.

Boot Capacity of the vehicle holds an essential and integral consideration in the decision making for Car Buyers in India. Among these contenders, the Kia Sonet offers the largest Boot Space measuring 392 litres, making it a practical choice for those with larger Storage needs. The Tata Nexon facelift and the Hyundai Venue, both have almost identical amount of luggage capacity while the Maruti Brezza, at 328 litres of Boot Space, will not be able to inspire Buyers for long family trips.  The Mahindra XUV300 having a Boot Capacity of just 257 litres, may also be not ideal for Buyers who are fond of going for long journey with Family.
