Maruti Suzuki has launched Fronx CNG variants with a starting Price of Rs. 8.42 Lakh for the Base Sigma Variant. The CNG option will be available in two variants Sigma and Delta with the latter being priced at RS. 9.28 Lakh ex-showroom.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx is a part of Maruti’s SUV range and is positioned below Maruti Brezza and the newly launched Jimny. Though the Fronx is based on Maruti’s Baleno but has got all the design upgrades to look more SUVish Crossover. The Fronx gets a larger front Bumper with integrated Head Lights and a front Grille with the Signature NEXA chrome slats. The Fronx also gets a substantial amount of body cladding all around to give it a rugged look. The Rear end of the Fronx is undoubtedly the best upgrade from a Baleno with NEXA Signature 3 Block connected Led Tail Lights.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG will be available with a 1.2 litre Naturally aspirated Petrol engine and attracts a premium of RS. 95000.00 over its similar Petrol only variants.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG Engine Options
The Fronx CNG is powered by a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated Engine producing a peak power of 77.5 hp and a peak torque of 98.5 Nm with an ARAI Certified mileage of 28.51 km/kg. The Fronx CNG is available with a 5 Speed manual Transmission only.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG Variants, Features and Dimensions
As for the features list, the CNG variants SIGMA and DELTA are similar to the petrol powered variants. The only difference is in the Boot Space which has been compromised to accommodate 10Kg capacity CNG Cylinder.
On the inside, the Fronx CNG gets the same Black Brown theme interiors as available in the petrol only variants and comes with other features like a 7 inch Touchscreen infotainment with Smart Play Pro System and Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG also gets Steering mounted Audio controls, Automatic Climate Controls, Dual Airbags and Reverse Parking Sensors but misses on a Reverse Parking Camera.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx measures 3995mm in Length, 1765mm in Width and 1550mm in Height along with its SUV design gives it a rugged road presence. Fronx if compared with the Baleno, has a substantial difference but the real world difference in size is not much. The Wheel Base of the Fronx and the Baleno is also the same making no difference in the available cabin space in both the cars.
Competition
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG will compete against Hyundai Exter CNG and Maruti Brezza in the compact SUV segment with factory fitted CNG under Rs. 10.00 lakh.
